We are deeply saddened by the passing of Professor Dr. Arif Jamshed, a towering figure in oncology and an extraordinary human being.
He was not only a highly respected head and neck oncologist, but also a brilliant teacher, lifelong mentor, trusted colleague, and a warm friend to generations of students, trainees, and peers. His pleasant personality, humility, and approachability left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Even after formal retirement, his passion for education never waned. He continued to lead contouring courses, student training programs, academic conferences, and specialist meetings, reflecting his unwavering commitment to advancing oncology education and patient care. His dedication inspired countless oncologists and will continue to guide clinical practice and teaching for years to come.
His legacy lives on through the many clinicians he trained, the lives he touched, and the standards of excellence he set in head and neck oncology.
May Allah (SWT) grant him the highest place in Jannah, forgive his shortcomings, and accept his lifelong service to humanity as Sadaqah Jariyah. May Allah grant patience and strength (Sabr-e-Jameel) to his family, students, and loved ones during this difficult time. Ameen.
